Trans identity and gender affirming care is under attack in the UK right now. Recent events have seen our legal protections rolled back and a section 28 style ban on teaching young people about trans identities and relationships.
The Labour government under Keir Starmer have also changed the law to force people to use the facilities assigned to their sex at birth rather than their current gender identity, this means trans men legally having to use women’s bathrooms and trans women having to use mens bathrooms. This is clearly ridiculous, and unenforceable.
Now more than ever we need our cisgender allies to help us. This means attending protests, writing to your MP and supporting grass roots Trans+ charities like Trans Kids Deserve Better!
